Two little hedgehogs rescued in Leven and Dunfermline

We had two little ones come in today, and we are so thankful they are here, as the weather is awful and is supposed to get worse.

The first was picked up last night by Leigh, who spotted the little soul near a petrol station in Leven. He weighed only 151g, so he would have been very cold and would have had no chance of surviving the winter. Leigh kept him overnight on our advice, and Linda, one of our lovely volunteers, picked him up this morning and brought him to the rescue.

The second arrived this afternoon after Tony spotted her while out on a dog walk at a park in Dunfermline. She weighs only 222g, and we are glad she is here safe.

Thank you to Leigh and Tony for saving these little ones.

Please keep a look out for any hedgehogs out in the day over the weekend. They will need help. If you do find one, our advice on what to do if you find a hedgehog may be useful.
