Otto’s story

We received a call from an employee at Asda Dalgety Bay that a hedgehog had been found at lunchtime at the back of the store. We gave some initial advice and went to collect him. Poor Otto was in a sorry state with a bad wound to his foot, nose and was cold, very dehydrated and thin. He weighed 500g but was severely underweight.
We discovered he was suffering from internal parasites and after lots of care and treatment he was released back to a garden near Asda on 24th August 2023 weighing 1237g.
A big thank you to all the staff at Asda that helped with this rescue.
