It all started back last March 2023 when Sandy Boyd from Wormit decided to retire from caring from Hedgehogs after 20+ years after ill health.

He kindly offered a lot of his cages and equipment  to us for us to get started.

Our setup was working from the spare room upstairs which wasn't great but got us started on our journey to care for sick and injured hedgehogs.

It soon became apparent that we needed to increase space due to the volume of poorly hedgehogs coming in so we decided to move the rescue into the already converted garage that we used for a play room for the children several years ago but since then had become the store room.

Just before Christmas we put the wheels in motion for the work to start and after about two weeks the new rescue came to life.
